Position Overview
We are seeking an External Security Systems & IT Integration Specialist to support internal enterprise IT operations while also delivering hands‑on technical support for select external clients, particularly involving security and surveillance platforms.
This is a full‑time, on‑site role based in Concord, Ontario. The successful candidate will work closely with the Chief Information Officer (CIO), assisting with execution of day‑to‑day IT operations, infrastructure support, and project initiatives. The role also involves collaboration with external IT and consultants who provide governance, risk oversight, and strategic direction.
This position is well‑suited for a technically strong professional with experience in IT systems, security integration software, and external client environments, who is comfortable operating within a structured governance framework.

Key Responsibilities
Internal IT Support & CIO Assistance
- Support day‑to‑day internal IT operations across all departments
- Assist the CIO with execution and maintenance of:
- IT policies, standards, and procedures
- Technical documentation, change tracking, and system diagrams
- Provide Tier 2 / Tier 3 technical support and escalation handling
- Support and maintain:
- Microsoft 365 (Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, OneDrive)
- Azure / Entra ID identity and access management
- Endpoint devices and security tooling
- Server, storage, backup, and recovery environments
- Manage users, permissions, licensing, and role‑based access
- Maintain IT asset inventories and configuration records
- Assist with administration and troubleshooting of:
- Firewalls, switches, wireless networks, VPNs, and segmentation
- Internet connectivity and site‑to‑site WAN links
- Support system patching, upgrades, and lifecycle planning
- Coordinate with vendors and service providers for:
- Infrastructure support and upgrades
- Hardware replacements and escalation management
Cybersecurity & Governance Collaboration
- Work under CIO direction alongside a retained cybersecurity consultant
- Implement and maintain security controls, including:
- MFA and access control policies
- Endpoint protection and vulnerability remediation
- Least‑privilege and audit‑ready access enforcement
- Assist with:
- Security documentation
- Audit and assessment preparation
- Tracking and remediation of security recommendations
- Monitor and maintain security posture between consulting engagements
External Client IT & Security Systems Support
- Participate in approved external client projects and support engagements
- Provide hands‑on technical assistance for:
- Milestone Video Management Systems
- Axis Communications camera platforms
- ICT GX and integrated access control systems
- Support deployments, configuration, troubleshooting, and upgrades
- Produce clear documentation and handover materials
- Ensure external work:
- Follows company IT and security standards
- Aligns with cybersecurity best practices
- Maintains confidentiality and professionalism
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of professional experience in Canada
- 7+ years of experience in enterprise IT, systems support, or infrastructure roles
- Hands‑on experience with:
- Microsoft 365 and Azure / Entra ID
- Windows‑based environments and endpoint management
- Core networking (LAN/WAN, firewalls, VPNs)
- Solid understanding of cybersecurity fundamentals
- Comfortable:
- Supporting both internal teams and external clients
- Working under CIO leadership
- Operating within structured governance and documentation standards
- Strong troubleshooting, communication, and documentation skills
- Ability to work full‑time on‑site in Concord, Ontario

- Legally eligible to work in Canada
- Must pass a clean Canadian Police Background Check
- High level of professionalism, discretion, and reliability required
